Just like grandma fixed it, this country-style venison sausage gravy is an easy ground venison recipe that's rich and delicious.

Ingredients

– Ground venison breakfast sausage – Unsalted butter – Flour – Whole milk – Cracked black pepper and salt 

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large skillet, add the ground venison breakfast sausage and cook until fully cooked through. While the sausage is cooking, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or measuring cup. Add in the flour and stir to make a roux.

Once the sausage has fully cooked, add in the roux and stir to combine. Slowly add in the milk, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until thickened, stirring frequently.

Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
