Recipe FAQs and Notes
What is a graze board?
A graze board, or grazing platter, is similar to a cheese board or a charcuterie board, but it’s loaded with a variety of small bite foods instead of solely cheese and charcuterie meats. Graze boards can feature fresh ingredients to small appetizers.
What should be on a grazing board?
Whatever you want! Decide what theme you’re going for and build from there. I always recommend having a variety of textures and flavors, depending on the overall theme of my graze board.
How long can a graze board sit out?
Ideally, no more than two hours for most ingredients that require refrigeration, such as cheese and condiments. If your graze board is out in the heat, you might consider only about an hour then refrigerate. You can always store away your graze board items and then pull them out later in the day to graze some more!
Recipe notes
- When planning your board, plan for 3-4 slices of meat per person. This recipe serves 4-6 people.
- Plan for 1-2 oz. of cheese per person, and provide a variety – strong, stout cheese such as blue, swiss, or sharp cheddar pairs best with steak.
- For
the fresh fruit and vegetables, provide a variety of textures and flavors. Feel free to go beyond what is listed in the recipe! - Any wild game steaks will work – elk, venison, etc.!
