This venison patty melt is hands-down one of THE BEST sandwiches we have ever enjoyed! Juicy ground venison, topped with melty cheese and sweet Vidalia onions.

Ingredients

– Ground venison – Olive oil – Sweet Vidalia onions – Salt  –Slices of American cheese – Unsalted butter  – Slices rye bread

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add the 1.5 Tbsp. olive oil to a large skillet . Slice the sweet Vidalia onions and add to the skillet. Cook  until soft. 2. Add 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 Tbsp. butter to the skillet and stirring occasionally. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3. Form the ground venison into 3-inch oblong patties. 4. Add another 1.5 Tbsp. olive oil . Add the venison patties to the skillet and season with 1/4 tsp. salt. Cook, then flip , then remove and set aside.   5. Begin to assemble the patty melt sandwiches.
