1. Add the 1.5 Tbsp. olive oil to a large skillet . Slice the sweet Vidalia onions and add to the skillet. Cook until soft.
2. Add 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 Tbsp. butter to the skillet and stirring occasionally. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Form the ground venison into 3-inch oblong patties.4. Add another 1.5 Tbsp. olive oil . Add the venison patties to the skillet and season with 1/4 tsp. salt. Cook, then flip , then remove and set aside.5. Begin to assemble the patty melt sandwiches.
