BBQ Bourbon Venison Meatballs

With a smoky bourbon BBQ sauce, these BBQ Bourbon Venison Meatballs are perfect for your next party, picnic, or game day!

•  Ground venison •  White onion •  Plain breadcrumbs •  Egg •  Chili powder •  Salt •  Black pepper •  Olive oil •  BBQ sauce •  Water •  Bourbon


In a large mixing bowl, add the ground venison, bread crumbs, egg, chopped onion, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Using your hands, mix to combine well.

Step 1

Form the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs.


Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook, often rotating, until fully cooked through.

Step 3

When done, add the BBQ sauce, water, and bourbon to the skillet.


Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
