If you love rich and savory Italian dishes, then you're going to love this elk lasagna recipe.

It has both creamy alfredo and tangy marinara, and a mix of ground elk and Italian sausage for a flavor combination that’s delicious.

Ingredients

–Ground elk –Ground Italian sausage –Ricotta –Cream cheese –Italian seasoning – Oven-ready lasagna noodles – Marinara – Alfredo sauce –Sliced mozzarella cheese –Shredded Italian blend

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. In a large skillet, brown the ground elk and Italian sausage. 3. While the meat is browning, add the ricotta, cream cheese, and Italian seasoning to a bowl and mix to combine.

4. Once the meat has cooked, begin to assemble the lasagna. 5. In a  baking dish, add about 1/4 cup marinara to the dish and spread to fully cover the entire bottom.

6.Add a layer of the oven-ready lasagna noodles. 7. Then, top with 1/3 of the marinara, about 1/4 of the ground meat, 1/4 of the ricotta cheese blend, 1/4 of the shredded cheese blend. 8. Top with another layer of noodles.

9.Then, top with the alfredo sauce, ground meat,  ricotta cheese blend, and 1 the shredded cheese blend. 10. Top with another layer of noodles. 11. Then, top with the marinara, about 1/4 of the ground meat, ricotta cheese blend,  shredded cheese blend. 12. Top with another layer of noodles.

13. Then, top with alfredo sauce, ground meat, ricotta cheese blend, and shredded cheese blend. 14. Add the last marinara, then top with the sliced mozzarella cheese.

15. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Then uncover and bake 15-20 minutes.
